2010 Food Crisis for Dummies
After reading this extraordinary piece by world renown analyst Eric deCarbonnel, you might come to same conclusion as many others. It would be extremely prudent to store up adequate food supplies now in order to beat the panic and to reap huge savings. When things begin to tank, as vividly discussed in this article, there will be massive runs on supplies.
We recommend that you store roughly half of your provisions in store-canned items. This keeps your diet as near-to-normal as possible and frankly, they just taste and look better. Store the other half in freeze-dried or dehydrated products and learn how to prepare these foods so they taste great and you can vary the dishes. Throw in some MREs for travel and power outages, but by no means make them the bulk of your stored foods.
In stressful times as the coming year looks to provide, it will be even more important to have the most nutritious food available to both fuel your body and boost your immune. Stress is one of the key factors that depletes your physical stamina and leaves you prone to disease.
Know how to pack your own foods so that when suppliers no longer have product available, you can continue to add to your supplies as need and availability warrants. That said, it is generally much less expensive to pack your own than to purchase product from outside sources.
U.S.-grown crops took a major hit. Expect prices to skyrocket in 2010. The new year is here! Be ready. Be prepared.
